Red face Subtle Hint.

Apparently the time is long overdue to get tinkering on the '73 Bug.

It must have seen me cleaning up the truck wiring the other day and probably got jealous.

I license tabbed it last year in an effort to get motivated but the temptation of just sitting around in my retirement getting drunk and watching TV all day was just to much to resist.
The tabs expired.
Time for some changes I think.

Re: Subtle Hint.

Spiders. I bought a new car in 2016. The day after I got it home, a spider had built a web on it.

Re: Subtle Hint.

My sister sent me an email asking if that cute picture was really my car?

...um yes it is.

Little fella looks like he's planning on staying there a while.

Re: Subtle Hint.

I would probably feel bad doing that, he's my security spider keeping the rest of the bugs out of my Bug until I get my lazy bottom up there to work on it.
Kind of a cool looking spider and he hasn't moved out yet.

Re: Subtle Hint.

You just have to wonder what the heck a spider is eating when it's living inside an enclosed space.

Re: Subtle Hint.

Yeah, I generally leave spiders alone, even in the garage. Except black or brown widows.

Yea I agree, talent like that deserves recognition.

Maybe I'll just hang out watching TV some more so as not to disturb him.

Re: Subtle Hint.

...bummer.

Looks like my little buddy was taken out, web and all, by this jerk.
That thing doesn't even know how to build a web.
I'm gonna ask this monster to even the score.

Now I have no excuse to hang out on the couch.

Re: Subtle Hint.

The only spiders I don't make a point to kill if I can is the Wolf Spider, they don't build webs they are predators roaming and eating insects. You don't want to smash a fuzzy looking one though....that's hundreds of it's babies clinging to it's back and they scatter everywhere.

Just ask my wife.

Re: Subtle Hint.

Sounds like perhaps a good idea. Years ago when assembling the upper cowl air door, for a stint I couldn't figure out why the screw wouldn't insert so easy, I thought a piece of tape fell in there. It moved in very quickly too. One of my favorite spiders, these a very cool. It danced around the truck while I continued my business.

Re: Subtle Hint.

I generally don't bother with spiders either, I figure they have to eat too. The only spiders I won't allow are black widows and tarantulas....
