New Custom Autosounds Slidebar radio

I recently installed a Custom Autosounds Slidbar radio and I'm really happy with it. I installed Kenwood 4" coaxials in the dash and I used two ancient but nice box speakers behind the seat. Sounds pretty good. The old Clarion cassette deck radio had gotten so bad I couldn't even hear it at full volume out on the highway.

This head unit provides radio, bluetooth, USB, Aux and I-phone connections. I'm just using the radio, BT and USB, everything works great so far. The digital readout can be adjusted to one of seven colors to match the dash lights color and can be dimmed or brightened. It has a lot of features. By using the EQ settings and the fader and balancer I was able to get pretty decent sound for what it is. I might add a small self-powered subwoofer under the seat for a little more bass. The head unit has pre-outs that can run to the subwoofer as needed. I routed the USB plug to the top corner of the glovebox by the glovebox light. The controls are a little twitchy but using a light touch makes them work great. Connected to my phone without any trouble and comes with BT built in so no extra dongle and the package contained a small mic for phone use.

So far I'm pretty happy with it. I was very happy to find that the previous owners hadn't chopped up the dash. This CAS unit fit into the factory hole perfectly. The front chrome bezel is plastic, would have preferred it to be metal, but you can't have everything.
