$600 for a '72, good deal or not?
I have seen this '72 truck on the side of the road at a claimed to be mechanics (more broken, no hope for ever again, ugly pieces of junk, than need to be fixed, but he claims he is...) anyways I finally stopped by in hope of him selling the front grille off of it. He said no he wouldn't but I talked him into selling the whole truck!! I know I am good he he it is a 1972 Camper Custom C-20 with the original V-8 350 small block. he said it ran when he parked it about 7 years ago and the engine was very clean!! the body was in pretty good shape it had a dent in the passenger side fender big enough to prevent the door from opening and the passenger side bed had a good size ding other than that thought there was no rust!!! it had the original a/c p/s and p/b and yes the all coveted vacum gauge. Is this truck worth $600 (I will probably be able to talk him down to around $500, but.) is it worth the price he gave it?

Not rare, but...IMO...
'72's had the benefit of 5 years of improvements, such as disc brakes, 5 lugs (although not on C20), and more comprehensive and common upgrade packages/options.
The truck probably is relatively standard from a config standpoint (although a pic of the glovebox door would get accurate reviews on this board), but if the cab is solid, and it's a running chassis, with a vacuum dash to boot, then IMO $600 is a good price. Great price would be $400 or less, but I also squeak when I walk... SSOW

the vac gauge is not stock (its from a bigger truck, c/40 and bigger) but still...it only makes that truck worth more. throw in a rust free body...that sounds awesome.
