K10 Front Driveshaft extension/compression play

How much extension/compression play should my front drive shaft have?

Currently the truck is on the lift and I have the front end pulled apart.

At full extension (truck on lift) the front drive shaft has 1" of travel before it bottoms out in the slip yoke.

The truck is a '86 K10 with a 3 inch lift. It does not squat much when off the lift but I wasn't sure if 1" was enough travel for a front shaft.

I don't recall ever measuring one but it isn't much. Your 1" is probably normal.
