C30 front tread width

I am looking at putting some cut down semi wheels on a '67 C30.

Many years ago, I built a '62 C10. On that truck I used a square body front crossmember. I recall that the tread width of the square body was wider than the '62.

I am considering installing a square body C30 front crossmember into the '67 c30. My question is - Would that widen the track width like it did on my '62 C10?

Widening the front track width on the '67 C30 is not acceptable to me because I intend to lower the truck. The semi wheels would rub inside of the fenders.

We have a "Heavy Haulers" forum on this site.. You might get a better response to your question on it. Here's the link:

Generally the Heavy Haulers section is for C40 and up.
