Simple improvement today. Ditched the rattle-prone, P.O.S. re-pop door checks for a pair of modified Jeep Cherokee door checks. I used the door checks for the front doors of a '84-'01 Jeep Cherokee. Benefits include two detents to hold the door open, they don't rattle, and if the rubber fails, they won't allow the door to smash into the fender.
Out of the box, the detents were too aggressive; they required so much effort to overcome that I was worried about breaking the clevis out of the door pillar. Additionally, the "full open" position was not quite open enough. Grinding/smoothing down the detents and cutting the rubber bump stops in half corrected both issues.
Repop door checks on the left and top, modified Cherokee door checks on the right and bottom.

I did the Cherokee door check mod. Since then I keep noticing that many vehicles use a similar design. I bet there's a bunch of other sources out there we could use for our trucks if someone had the time to research it.
