Proportion Valve leak
The valve is leaking out of the small rubber seal on the rear outlet. This a new valve. Anyone know what would cause this and what this is for? The round seal right under the mounting bolt.

Re: Proportion Valve leak
I went through three of them before I got one that didn't leak.
All are pretty much from the same company in China. |

Re: Proportion Valve leak
Weird. Might have to replace it.

Re: Proportion Valve leak
I will second Accelo's comment. Find the correct PV on Amazon or other easy to return site and rotate till you get a good one. The expensive ones are just marked up. Not better.

Re: Proportion Valve leak
Is there a U.S. made source? I was thinking of swapping to Wilwood for the valve but they seem to only have disc/drum for this style. I need 4 wheel disc.

Re: Proportion Valve leak
I got an all brass disc/drum valve from ABS in Orange, CA and it was good on the first go...

Re: Proportion Valve leak
I got one from Inline Tube and it has worked well for over a year. But it may be from the same Chinese source as all the others.
Still have my original 71/72 valve and may send it to a re-builder.
