Couldn't agree more! I just replaced an all metal Wix 33012 filter (before fuel pump) and decided to take apart the old Wix filter to see how much crud was in it. I was absolutely stumped ........... that filter was built like a proverbial tank. After wailing on it a long while I had to grind the middle seam off to get it apart. The filter element base was epoxied to one end and the other end had a nifty compression fitting sealing it. Virtually indestructible and well designed.
