Thanks for taking the time to share this info with everybody!. Will this switch make my wipers FASTER or just intermittant?. As I said mine are super slow........Jim

Here is a helpful diagram of standard auto relays. A coil is used to 'pull' a switch. The switch can switch on power, or complete a ground, as it is doing in the wiper circuit. Wiper motor gets power at all times. On our series motors, there are 3 possible combinations, plus washer operation. For you techies, here are the combinations:
Park and off = lt blue and black connedted, (not grounded0
low speed = lt blue and black grounded
high speed = lt blue grounded
washer = dark blue grounded

I would sure like to see you put the complete package together and make a few bucks for your time & knowledge. I sure don't want to run around trying to find this stuff.
OK, I get to ask one dumb question: Does it park in the Off/down position? I had an after market kit that was just timed & stopped where ever it was when the time ran out. If it was in front of your face, you had to tap the horn to get it to move a little farther out of the way. LOL. J.C.W. special.

The Cole-Hersee part # is 75600-04. I checked with a couple of parts dealers and they go from the low of $44.00 to the high of $60.00.

bosch relays

IS anyone going to package a intermitent switch setup? I'm not a relay expert, are the 3 relays shown in addition to Bus intermitent switch? Where should they be mounted? Maybe I'm missing the update somewhere else. The rain is really starting to fall on West coast now!!

I am new to the forum but I have learned a great deal from you guys in rebuilding my 72 K20.
I followed your wiring diagram but what I get is fast wipers at key on with the switch off. I can rotate the switch to fast and the wipers go to slow speed.

What did I do wrong?

Raising this thread from the dead to update, I believe the part number he used is Cole Hersee 75601-06

Just FYI, they made several versions of essentially the same exact intermittent-hi-low wiper switch with several different but similar part numbers, some of them had different color wires, some had more wires than others, and they all had different plugs, and some had no wire plug at all--just loose wires.

This handy PDF gives you build specs of all of the different variants of this switch, and if you look back to blue_69 original wiring image, you'll see he was most likely using a 75601-06.

You can most likely substitute any one of these switches and make it work if you wire it correctly.

I thought the same thing & even checked to see when the last time blue_69 posted as well.

Heck, I sent the intermittent wiper set-up I purchased from another thread to a board member in hopes they would be able to build these for others & that stalled out.
Sure seems like a good idea.

I have an ancient aftermarket wiper delay in my '70 CST/10 that my Dad wired in eons ago. It finally quit working last year, and in the box of parts I got from my Dad with the truck, was a Ziploc bag with a new exact duplicate of one of these units. But Dad had it mounted below the steering column and it was always a pain to use. I'd like to try and make one of these cole hersee switches work. Too bad this thread died short of it's goal.

Absolutely 100%.

I find it odd there has been multiple companies that created 1pc window kits for these trucks yet don't see a market in updating items that can significantly impact the 'drive' in them. Sure, 2spd wipers get it done but those of us who have put miles on them regardless of the weather know the intermittent option would be gladly welcomed.

Exactly! There are lots and lots of intermittent switches out there to splice in and install, but you would think after all these years, ONE of the big aftermarket companies would have come up with kits that are dang near plug and play for under 100 bucks.

You could try contacting twouvakind, he built a lot of plug and play delay modules. I bought mine from him in 2016. I see his last activity on the board was back in January of this year. When I was looking to buy one it did take a little while to hear from him, but he got right on it and made another "batch". If he is no longer making them, you can buy all the parts and put one together yourself, but give him a try first, it will, save you the hassle of sourcing the delay board and potentiometer plus connectors.
