Original A/C Service Port Caps?
What did they look like? Brass or aluminum? Acorn or ribbed?

Take a look at A/C sites. I have new ones on my new POA valve and new "muffler" connected to the new compressor. Mine are plastic.

I have a completely original 72. It still has the rubber plug in the sight glass. I can take a look at it in the next day or 2 & see what they are.

I’ve been pulling vintage AC parts at the junkyards for years, imo either cap would be correct. Here are some original poa valves I’ve pulled.
