Gmc 351e big block v6

GMC 1966 351E big block V6 out of a suburban that had 4 speed. Dressed pretty much as it was removed. Ran good when removed, suburban was customized reason for removal. It has PS installed and dealer installed AC parts in box (date coded 12/65). Price $500, needs to go, local pick up. Trying to sell whole to some one who needs, other wise will strip for parts. More photos if needed. AC parts are in a box not installed, under dash type unit by Eaton.

Re: Gmc 351e big block v6

So, These are my questions
1) is the Y pipe in tact or cut?
2) is the air cleaner not with it?
3) is the 4 speed still attached and does it come with it or available separately?

Re: Gmc 351e big block v6

The gentleman that owns or runs https://www.olsonsgaskets.com/ (pretty much the only place I can find oil pan gaskets for the GMC v6) needs a donor engine to reverse engineer the rear seal gasket.

I'm guessing this engine is likely the same internally as the 305 (for his purposes) with the exception of the pistons/cylinders?

You may see him pop into the classifieds.

He saved my bacon because he has gaskets for our trucks.

looking on the website it seems it might be Port Orchard, WA , which I guess isn't close to where the engine might be.

Its so sad to see how the LS swapping and bagging has literally ruined the hobby by pushing out the desire to restore anything to how it came. I blame this modification over restoration mindset for killing interest in parts like your engine. I am broke after just buying the wife a car with all my expendable money but before it gets scrapped, find out what you think they'll pay over the scales and I'll pay that and I will come after it despite having two already and definitely not needing a third. I just can't let it go to scrap. 800 lb engine x Kentucky's 160 per ton scrap rate (engines and cars) gonna be about a $130 payday at the scales is my guess

Re: Gmc 351e big block v6

Aotte ole buddy, I hope everything is OK with you and your family since we spoke a while back about me coming after the 351 engine. I see your PM box if full, and Dewayne Powers said he has your phone number and alleges he's shared my number with you via text, but seeing you not calling or texting makes me question whether Dewayne is telling me the truth or not. Dewayne says he won't send me your number so I can make arrangements to come after the engine, so I am kinda stuck until either you read this, or Dewayne does and sees he's preventing you from selling the engine, and realizes its OK to send it maybe. If you do read this, text or call 256 486 1988

There is another Member, Juan, South of me wanting the AC parts so I told him I'd go get the engine and send him what he wants. We are both kinda stuck since Dewayne is protecting your phone number for some weird reason. Maybe another member also has your contact info and will let me know.
