tagged insured and driving the newest addition maybe a build thread but this just needs some TCL ill make a list interesting no markers in rear fenders( I didn't think they repopped them without markers) this purchase was kind of crazy it was right here in my town originally from Va when I did a VIN search. someone did a recent restoration paint brand new tires & rims disc convert in front PB & PS new bumpers front & back new fuel tank behind the seat SBC with a power glide not sure on the rear but felt a little magic back there on the corners the PO I bought it from couldn't give me any history I have to go through the state of NJ to track down owners names to get more info good luck with that in this State so ill do my own forensic evaluationi opened the glove box for the first time yesterday the original SPID is there ...short story price was better than right I didn't do much research before the purchase didn't want to blow the deal BUT so far I DONE GOOD my friends are kidding with me saying I should be charged with grand theft auto even a blind squirrel gets a nut every now and again

Today I attached the 2025 registration sticker to the license plate on my '68 C/10 Stepside.
Not just a peel and stick. I had to disconnect the LED License Plate Illuminator Bolts from inside the rear step bumper. and take the plate out of its case with a plastic screen to get at it.

Pulled the hood and cowl off of Otis today as I'm taking it to a buddy in the AM to re-paint/clear them both.
The clear started peel on the hood, and the cowl has a pretty good surface rust spot that's getting bigger where a rock nailed it about 3 years ago

I like how here in NC you can slap a same year plate on your classic truck, the normal plate is easy to get a sticker on when its in your glove box with the registration.

I don't have a vintage or YOM plate on the '68 Stepside. It's still a commercial plate. Having Cmcl plates allows me to park in loading zones Downtown for 15 minutes without having to pay the meters.
On my '71 GMC Jimmy, I do have a YOM plate, but it's permanently attached. [My old regular plate from that truck is now inactive.] So the current annual ADOT/MVD sticker goes on the 1971 plate, but on the Left, as I have the '71 sticker in place on the Right.
No phantom plate in the glovebox is needed.

I keep a running thread in the builds section called fixing the 90's mistake, previous owner has a 90's stepside bed installed when I bought it. Its been through a bit of a transition since then.

The hood is primed and working on the cowl cover...almost ready for color coat.
It was less labor intensive to blast and powder coat prime the cowl cover so it's a little behind but almost there.
