Late model wheel horn issues
I am installing a late model steering wheel like in the picture in this thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...highlight=horn
Having horn issues and I think I maybe missing some pieces. The column is a tilt wheel from 69-72. Looking for some assistance. Thanks in advance!

Re: Late model wheel horn issues
Found this video. I dont have that red piece he is using to hold the spring in. I tried it by placing the spring in but no horn.

Re: Late model wheel horn issues
Do you have the green or white plastic piece with the circular contact? I seem to recall its the cancelling cam. Here's a few pics w/ some of the needed bits. Videos too...

Re: Late model wheel horn issues
The first picture is the design you need. The other pics show how I was able to convert what I recall was used with the wheels like you are using.

Re: Late model wheel horn issues
Thanks for the info. Looks like I am missing the red piece and that silver piece that goes on the end of the spring. Any ideas where I can get one? Parts board?

Re: Late model wheel horn issues
Here are a few more pictures that may help. The red ring compresses the spring and snaps into place.

Does that long silver piece have to go in there as well or do I leave that out? Thanks!

It has been 10 years, but I am 80% that I left it out.
