Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
The skill and money to build a truck like that are far beyond mine, kudos. But not my style; not a huge fan of the whole "slammed, airbags, subwoofers, and 26" rims" fad.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
Have not had facebook since they showed their true colors with our leaders ban, so I could not watch. I do believe I saw the episodes of the build on BR. The roof is motorized and will stow under the bed lid. I agree it is super cool. The engineer at Kindig accomplished something awesome.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
I can certainly respect the craftsmanship involved in building something of this caliper. It's definitely a "trailer queen", protected from the elements, and destined to make the rounds of the show circuit.. But, once it's made the rounds and won its share of trophies, what becomes of it?? It's so laden with bondo and fiberglass, it does not make a suitable daily driver.

I saw the episode of the build on *****'n Rides. Kindig builds are over the top, I love how they did the folding roof.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
what amazes me is how they can accomplish an incredible build like that in 3o minutes!
All of those shows feature extravagant builds with unlimited resources. I continue to watch them because they inspire me to do my best with what I have. The downside is that every John Doe with an old truck that's been sitting in the weeds for 20 years thinks it's worth a fortune.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
All I can do is picture myself throwing a 1/4 yard of mulch in the back of that and watching the builder spontaneously combust...

This truck reminds me of a two wheel drive Blazer!

.....and they didn't even start it up....but I think what they did is called "The Sickness" That's what I'm gonna name it. I have spent twelve years on mine and I'm not even.....wow.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
Yeah it can be topped. Not my cup of tea. I can certainly appreciate and recognize the awesome talent and skill that went into it, just not my type of truck.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
Beautiful mod. Don't much care for the console though, doesn't measure up the rest, IMO.

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
I'm betting the cost is over $500g to have this truck built.
Yes, amazing. |

Re: Here is my question. Can this be topped?
What said above. No matter how rich I was that truck would never make it into my "garage". Well maybe craftmanship and cool pretty high, gonna need a new console though, bring some bling into that interior. I just lean toward authentic stuff, you're not driving high show much anyway, I don't care GM SBC/BBC generation blocks are worth just 100K miles...IMO.
They mention the hours to build that? 500K build perhaps? Hmm, I wouldn't know, but I'll bet it can fetch what's worth the boss' time & effort. Some 67-72 mods bring over 400K today, perhaps this can top that. It strikes me a lot of those mods are loaded with Chinese parts anyway. At least this one delivered on a complete package.
