Vacuum Asst. Brake Question

Hi. On my '69 2500 when the engine is running and I apply the brakes the peddle doesn't come all the way back up. I have to hook my foot behind the peddle and lift it up. When I shut off the engine, the peddle comes up as it should. Vacuum canister? This has me perplexed as I just replaced this part in '97. haha, jk. Or master cylinder? Thanks, -BA

Oh, when I shut then engine off I hear the vacuum hissing for a couple seconds and this never happened before. OK, probably the vac unit right?

Re: Vacuum Asst. Brake Question

Sounds like it could be vacuum booster related, but does your brake pedal still have the return spring attached to the top end of it up under the dash near the brake light switch?
