Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Not hauling much more than a wreath on the front. The local historical society wanted an old truck in our local Christmas parade with their name on it so I agreed.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

My 71 pulling my '32 race trailer with the car and golfcart in it- about 10k lbs.

It wasnt very happy. I have lowering springs in the rear with an axle flip kit. I think it needs some air bags to help...

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

The WMB back at work. Eleven sheets of 9' T1-11 to re-side the little garage. The squarebody seats only give me room for 8'6" sheets. I had to drive home with the hatch hanging loose. I forgot my bungee.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Lotta trailer for a little load! When I put an addition on my previous house, the delivery price was too much for my budget. I rented a car hauler and strapped them down. That was 57 each, 2" X 6" 18', and a whole bunch of 4" X 8" girders. I was sweating that day!

It's nice to have the proper equipment when you need it.

K20 hauled a few logs this weekend. I think it’s time to shop for a receiver, what is everyone using?

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Hi Everyone,

Here is a shot in 2008 just after one of my countless trips to our 'new" home and shop. This was one of the last - and the only one with the wrecker:

Name: IMG_0551.jpg
Views: 38
Size: 56.3 KB

This view gives you an idea of just how loaded the truck/trailer was:

Name: DSC00013.jpg
Views: 38
Size: 58.7 KB

A full set of 6 extra rims/tires and my oxy-acetylene tanks w/cart on this side. What doesn't show up is the other side with the wrecker's dolly wheels/tires/axles and various misc. tool boxes etc.

It was plenty well loaded and I took a nice relaxing 45 MPH trip for 212 miles from southern to northern Arizona!

Well then ........... how about hanging a +/- 3000 pound genset after picking it up from a trailer and backing it into its final resting place?
