Re: 69-72 stepside braces
Photos are in order from back to front on the passenger side. The supports are attached with 5/16 bolts.

Re: 69-72 stepside braces
If your truck has lit sidemarkers then there will be a brace/wire guide for the light.

Re: 69-72 stepside braces
The frame ones always seem to be missing for one reason or another and my truck was no different. I ended up buying a pair from Classic Industries that claimed to fit 55-72 but they required a bit of tweaking to fit properly. They are shown as step to frame brackets.

Are these side marker lights wire shields reproduced?
I didn't even know I was missing them until I read this thread. |

Re: 69-72 stepside braces
I may as well add my two cents here since I built a bed from scratch using original OEM 67 fenders (try to find those in useable good shape) and a complete sheet metal kit from Mar-K in Oklahoma. Fit of all the parts went very well, but I could not find a source foe all NEW 8 braces. I found 6 old ones that were OK and never made the last two, BUT I was once a blacksmith and as such I know it would bave been very easy to duplicate these braces. I no long have a shop but maybe others would be able to find a working blacksmith to make these braces.
