Bed Wood/Rear Sill Question?

Any Tips On Installing The Bed Wood On a 69 c10?
Also Does The Rear Cross Sill Just Sit On The Frame?

Looks Really Close To Hitting the Bumper Brackets

I rotated your picture. Yes, it sits directly on the frame.

You can get a rubber pad set from some of the parts vendors but it didn't originally come with them.
