Are these seat covers any god? Who makes them?

I am trying to find a seat cover in blue for my 1970 truck. Here is a link to the seat cover in Classic Parts. Price seems reasonable but wonder about quality. I would rather prefer one made by Turck World.

Most likely PUI. Their stuff is "OK". Is Truck World still in operation?

I wish Legendary was into the GM truck market..

Two years ago I bought seat covers, seat foam, door panels, and carpet from Classic Industries.. All items fit very well and seems durable enough.

Don't know if they have vehicle specific for our years, but you can ask

Thanks. I took a look at them They seem to specialize in making covers to go over your existing seat covers. I am trying to find the seat cover OEM style in very heavy vinyl with 69-70 scroll pattern.. And I am using a 1972 seat and hope there will not be fitment issues due to using a newere seat with an older pattern.

Re: Are these seat covers any god? Who makes them?

Seat frame wise you should be good, but I believe you'll want to match the foam to the seat cover years that you decide to go with. There are some shape differences.

I went with covers from https://carsinc.com/. I was very happy with the quality. The wait time however was around 5 months or so. You can see some pictures in my build thread here. Most of the minor wrinkles have since come out, but chalk any discrepancies up to my installation. I wasn't feeling that well when I did them and frankly didn't have much patience, nor did I know that the bucket seats I was doing had extra rods and clip pieces for the bolster shaping. Bench seats like I have done in the past would turn out great with these covers. To get my buckets perfect would have required some foam to be added in a few spots. I would definitely order from them again.

Re: Are these seat covers any god? Who makes them?

Thanks for responding. The seat I am rebuilding is a seat that came out of a 72 Highlander I bought in 1986. I tool the seat out in 1999 to replace it with buckets, but the seat is almost completely intact except for a hole where a mouse burrowed inside. I have not yet removed the covers so I have no idea how good the foam is but maybe it should be replaced just due to its age. It is not all worn ot and beat up, and in fact I think someone might want to buy the old covers if they plan to creat a Highland plaid seat. It has all the correct scrollwork;

I looked into the site you mentioned and under the truck section I could not find any OEM style seat covers. So I will be checking out some more sources.

That is a nice looking seat. Nice shape and seems to be filled out in all the right places. I am hoping to find a cover that has the OEM scrollwork on it.. Thanks

I'm not sure what's going on with their site at the moment and the catalog is unviewable, but with a little searching this is what I could drum up. You can paste the item number into the search bar if you want more info about a particular one. It seems to me, that they might offer sample swatches of the material also. I can see why they were impossible to find as there is no standard to the naming consistency of the products and a lack of correct spelling. Hope this helps. They have a lot for Blazers and Suburbans too, just have to hit the right combo of search words.
