The Muncie also has a drain bolt at the front driver side near the bellhousing (at least mine does). The Saginaw does not, supposedly one can remove the lowest tailhousing bolt as the drain for it.
I'll look closer at that in the morning. When I googled the casting numbers, I was getting hits back on Saginaw, and the cover seemed to match that one on the diagram above, but I could certainly be mistaken. My truck only has a 307, so perhaps that would change things?
