Brightest H6024 sealed headlight
I was looking to go the led route with headlights since the old halogen yellow is just no cutting it for my old eyes. The LED light just seem way to expensive right now so looking at sealed beams that are around 20-30 a headlight. Anyone use the Wagner brightlite or Sylvania Silverstar and notice a difference over standard halogen headlights? Any other recommendations,, I like the white light over the yellow headlight

Re: Brightest H6024 sealed headlight
Check the connectors on your current bulbs. If they are on short pedestals, that Sylvania bulb may not work. I ran into that issue with standard halogen bulbs. First ones I tried looked like the Amazon offering for the Sylvania, flush with bulb back. Didn't work with my existing connectors. Went back to store and traded for ones with the pedestals. Those worked.
BTW - It looks like the Amazon offering of the Wagner might fix the pedestal issue. Haven't tried the two you are interested in but if the forum opinions are favorable, might give them a try. Really growing to hate the blind-o-matic LED bulbs on most newer vehicles. |

I do like the Siverstars. I also upgraded to relays and I am pretty happy with the results. I have no intentions of ever putting in LED's.

LED's definitely have a different look. I have them on my Jeep, I don't think I would want them on a C10.
I know some folks do the euro housing with a better bulb. There a page out there with the details, will try to find it. Here's some good info. http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html Last edited by Shark_13; Today at 01:32 AM. |

Hella e-code housings and good quality H4 bulbs, I prefer LED's. Literal night & day difference

I've got Philips CrystalVision Ultra bulbs in my '74 and they're nice, white light. Not so bright that I get flashed either but I've got them adjusted to account for the lift on my truck too.
