87 4x4 TBI issues

I'm working on a 87 V10 with a TBI 350. I'm having odd issues with keeping it running. It would not run with MAP connected and ran poorly with it disconnected. Replaced map sensor and fired up and ran much better but after about 10 minutes sputtered and died out. After dieing it would start and immediately die every time. Let it sit for awhile and it will repeat this situation. To add to the confusion my will not connect to the truck unless it is running. If it is running I can pull codes some times. Other times as the scanner is trying to to connect the truck will sputter and almost die and as soon as it stops trying to to scan the motor comes back to idle correctly.

This truck has new fuel pumps and shows 10 psi after the tank selector switch.the TBI unit has been cleaned and resealed. The pressure regulator was replaced when cleaning. We have replaced the map sensor. Checked connections at the end and no corrosion. No corrosion visible from the chip window in the ecm. Whe I can pull codes I get these numbers:
13
14
25
34
35
41
43

Anyone have any ideas on a direction? I've been out of the TBI game for AWHILE and feel like I'm floundering. I'm trying not to parts cannon and fix it right.

Put a distributor in it.

Mother in laws went thru the same symptoms
New distributor fixed it

Seems like a lot of codes. I don't have them memorized like the other guys.

Re: 87 4x4 TBI issues

I can't guarantee you any results with this suggestion, but I would consider replacing the computer and eProm. I had ongoing issues with my 87 and after replacing every sensor and checking every wiring connection, I replaced the computer and eProm and all my issues went away. A buddy of mine recently had the same problem on his 87 and a computer fixed the issue. I think they degrade over time and need replacing after a while. Again, not promising this will fix your issue but it's something worth looking into.
