Re: California fires

I have been thinking, likely even more insurance companies will pull out of Cali. And those that can't afford to build back after this. Big money will likely swoop in and buy up all properties they can to flip for a profit, pushing some home owners out of the county. It's probably happening already.

Re: California fires

[QUOTE=MySons68C20;9363184]I feel terrible for the folks that live there....a lot of them won't rebuild due to the time it takes for proper permits let alone trying to find a contractor.
On top of all that State Farm pulled the insurance in that area Oct 2024 iirc.
It will be interesting to see how all this plays out.[/QUOTE

All the permits should be waved at a time like this.

Re: California fires

I wonder how many multi-family units such as apartments, condos, etc.. will get built in place of single-family homes. And maybe there will be entertainment type venues built with hotels. It will be all about the money.

Re: California fires

Same thing here with the hurricanes all the 6 to 10 million dollar homes are totally destroyed on the water and none of them are rebuilding there selling for the value of the land for a million but when you research the families bought in the 40s and 50s and paid 4 hundred thousand because they know all the building permits will take years and codes will be costly
