Member Brad_Man_72 Injured In Automobile Accident

Support grows for three involved in November crash

This actually happened in November but there hasn't been much info available until now. I have met Brad in person numerous times at the "All Truck Nationals" in Kansas City. He is a great guy. He always pulled his speedboat to the truck show behind his '72 and gave people rides around the show in it behind his truck.

The Accident

Bashor, his girlfriend Erika, and stepbrother Jason were all involved in a bad accident in November in Nixa, MO, at the intersection of Massey Boulevard (Highway 160) and Aldersgate Drive. A vehicle ran a red light and "T" boned them.

The three suffered multiple injuries.

“Brad broke his right leg in three places below the knee and his femur. He broke his left leg in three different places. He broke his left arm, and broke his nose. I’m not sure what other fractures he’s got. He hit the front of his head and the back of his head, when he got thrown out of the car,” Jack said.

“Ironically, Friday, after the accident he was talking and normal, and Saturday goofing around and cracking jokes in the hospital. Everything kind of went downhill after that. They’re keeping a good watch on him and they’re keeping him in a medically induced coma, helping him heal. Yesterday they put a rod in his left arm. He’s still got quite a few more surgeries to go, and it’s just going to be slow and methodical and lengthy and one step at a time,” Michelle said.

Erika and Jason, the other two in the car suffered extensive injuries as well.

“His girlfriend, Erika got her knee tore up and lacerated her liver. They determined that she had two fractures in her foot at a later time. She’s still in the hospital right now doing physical therapy. I think they’re going to release her soon and have her continue rehabilitating,” Michelle said. “Jason was on the passenger side of the vehicle actually saw the car coming at them that was going to T-Bone them and grabbed Erika and ducked down into the cockpit and under the dash. I think he probably saved their lives. Jason suffered a broken femur and two broken ribs. I think their injuries could have been significantly worse had that not happened. Brad doesn’t remember anything of the accident at all, and the other two do.”

They say the three are all expected to recover, it’ll just be different time frames.

This is the '29 Ford Roadster they were in. Brad always drove around with this giant skeleton in the rumble seat.

Wishing them the best.
I wonder if the guy who ran the light had insurance.
Of the last four people, I know, who have been in accidents, only one had insurance.

It was posted that Brads recovery is slow but better than the doctors had expected. I have seen only one post from Brad and he said that he had been on life support for 10 days early on.

Re: Member Brad_Man_72 Injured In Automobile Accident

Ten days on life support is scary indeed. I guess it should come as no surprise given the extent of the injuries he suffered. That was a horrific accident and it's great to hear that he's alive and recovering, though understandably very slowly.

Re: Member Brad_Man_72 Injured In Automobile Accident

Is there a gofundme page for him? And a gospankme page for the perp? We've had people die in our town without proof that the red-light runners were on their cell phone, for instance, and they have gotten off scot-free.
