Early 90 Chevy truck beds are steel. Point made above is sound to me: $200 for a good used one vs. $3000 for a repro. I have seen a long bed on a 72 truck and it was painted the classic 2 tone red/white top and sides, and it looked sweet. very very nice.

FYI an OBS bed is a direct bolt on to a 67-72, no modification necessary

I have a 70 with a 92 bed. This question has a few answers. First I'm 55 so my good young man car days and nostalgia is 85-95. This was a common push the limits modification. Keep in mind this was a new truck's bed. It looks good but needs some work to look finished. Cost my bed is very straight zero rust and cost $250 complete. Weight two people can easily move this bed I carried my bed out of the middle of a u pull it yard with two people helping. Last it's a truck part. Get bored, tired whatever take it off and get a different one.
