Re: Martinez (CA) Refinery Fire

I've read there are a number of refineries in the bay area way past their recommended life span and a couple of them were to be shut down last year or so.

I guess it's at least a 4 hour drive so no danger to us here. I don't know how many refineries there are in California, or what areas they serve. But I would not be surprised to have shortages and price hikes. Yep, good idea to top off the tanks, just in case.

Here’s a breakdown of the refineries in California and their percentage contribution to CARB complaint gas: https://www.energy.ca.gov/data-repor...oil-refineries

The recent fire that swept through the “green energy” battery storage plant in the Bay Area was something too.

That was the Martinez Refinery, it used to be the Shell Refinery.

Angry Re: Martinez (CA) Refinery Fire

that refinery is less than 30 miles from me and even before the fire our gas prices were too high, i haven't filled up since the fire but i'm sure the prices went up.
