Yep...Winter Alright

Briefly opened up the curtains in my nice warm cabin to show you my view from my picture window.

OK back to being a hermit and watching HDTV in the dark.

Beautiful! We got a very light dusting last night -- not much of that is left now.

Yup, looked like you guys were going to get crapped on. We are supposed to get freezing rain this afternoon and tonight. Not sure how much yet.

Re: Yep...Winter Alright

And of course somebody didn't bother to split firewood last fall and the garage is too cold to tinker around in so I'm going back to watching HDTV.

Re: Yep...Winter Alright

I had to look where Tahuya is Id never heard of it. Looks close to the water, is that where your cabin is?

We had a few inches here, it melted back a bit and now its snowing on and off but not enough to cover it all the way over like it was when I got up.

Re: Yep...Winter Alright

I and my whole family of brothers and sisters and kids used to dig for Geoduck and open Oysters camping out not to far from you ,, at Dosewallips back in the 60ies and up into the 80ies .I would of guessed you hardly get snow being maybe 5 or so miles from where we camped . Might be wrong though as it is way up north.. Pretty view you got there and I bet it's quiet too.

It's deathly quiet here.
Stepped out the door at 2AM and heard a mouse pass gas at about two miles away.
Friend told me if I don't get my dead butt out there and start splitting that wood it'll rot.
Much easier to split than I thought it was going to be because I'm so out of shape but if I do a little at a time I'll be fine.

Only 2 million more to go.

Re: Yep...Winter Alright

Wow!

Next few nights are predicted to be around +20° here and that's still insanely cold for this area.
