Lovely, just lovely. We're just a pinch below 5 bucks for 87 octane already. Let's see how many more people we can drive out of the state.

.

Yeah well in 2016 he said a bunch of -- that he didn't follow through on when he got in the Office. Typical ---- telling us what we want to hear then doing whatever they choose.

EDIT: I've altered this post to be benign and so not get this thread killed!

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

Been a couple of months so.
Ours jumps around largely these days. Instead of jumps at 2 to 5 cents at a time to 10 to 16 cents. Ours is currently $2.56. Pretty reasonable in comparison to the rest of the country so I'm grateful for that.

As a side note, with all the drivers using E powered cars these days there should be less demand for gas which should equate to lower gas prices to my way of thinking. Too soon?

Gas has gone up 25cents over the past few months . Diesel went up 65cents doesn’t seem to be any correlation anymore . Used to be the increase would be about the same

Yes more EVs in the 3rd quarter of 2024 Ford sold 20k EVs but also sold 500k ice vehicles. That’s just in 3 months so 2 million new ICE vehicles on the road and that’s just ford

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

Locally about a month or so ago we got down to $2.56 which only lasted about 3-4 days. Has crept up from there to current $2.87 and has been there for nearly two weeks or more. Use Kroger gas points as we can to lessen the bite, being retired we don't use near as much gas as when I was driving 35 miles to work one way but it still never stays in the tank very long.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

Yeah, we are both retired now too. We go into town about once a week now and with 3 vehicles to choose from we can skip the higher priced gas times and refill on the down side. I keep them at about 1/2 tank. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.
