Updated pictures. 1972 key part drivers door
Up dated with pics. The doors have no indication of being installed. I just purchased a 1972 driver and passenger doors. These are key part doors. Can anyone on here help me understand why the left door (drivers) is brazed buy the A pillar were the vent window is installed. The passenger side is not. Are these really key part doors! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you have a '71 or earlier door on the passenger side if they are not symmetrical. '71 and '72 doors had a special screw that bolted both sides together, under the Vent Window to discourage car theft by driving a wedge down the outside window channel to slip a jimmy to pull the door release. And what does ''Key Part'' mean anyway?

Re: 1972 key part drivers door
Key part is the company that made the doors. Both door are the same and they both have the hole by the vent wing window. Driver side is the one in question about being brazed on the door and A pillar. Will take pics in morning. Thanks for the response.

Re: 1972 key part drivers door
I would say if it is brazed, somebody messed with the door and returned it.

Pictures of the passenger side. No welding but extra square little tabs.

Re: 1972 key part drivers door
I bought a Key Parts driver side door for my truck, but it is being painted and I can't see how it looks. I pulled it out of the box and fit it to the truck. It was perfect. I visually looked at it and it matched the one on the truck almost to a tee.
