Trying to find what my original interior colors were
I am trying to research if the interior colors of my truck make sense with the SPID and package and my research is a bit confusing so far. ChatGPT is full of it and I dont think it is accurate. I found a good post on here that explained a lot this but it was quite old.
My truck is a 72 Custom Deluxe and currently has black carpet, black dash, parchment doors and bench seat and a black steering wheel and column. I have chrome bumpers and wood lower trim on the outside. I think someone changed the seat as it is not the highlander green inserts. According to the SPID the truck was a level C trim but I understand that the Custom Deluxe models usually came with the colors I posted above and the seat was the only highlander option and this is not a complete highlander truck. It sounds like the Custome Deluxe was a mish mash of options Chat GPT says the interior would have been all avacado green and I dont think that is right.

I don't think you will find what you are looking for from any chat
But, this will give you everything you need to know about your truck https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=635040 Last edited by Chevyland; 02-17-2025 at 11:46 PM. |

Re: Trying to find what my original interior colors were
This is exactly what your truck interior looked like from the factory
Your truck is a Highlander.. All Highlander's were custom deluxes All Highlander's had plaid seats, parchment door panels, black-dash-carpet-steering wheel/column Last edited by Chevyland; 02-18-2025 at 12:38 AM. |

Re: Trying to find what my original interior colors were
Thank you, I cannot get over the green seats with the yellow exterior as I think the orange would have been better but I undersaw it was the 70's. My mom had the green appliances that were fugly so maybe it triggers me LOL

Re: Trying to find what my original interior colors were
I guess I was wondering if this was a case of all highlanders were custom deluxe but not all custom deluxe were highlanders.

Re: Trying to find what my original interior colors were
Was the embossed scrollwork on the seats with the plaid OEM or did the plaid pattern not have the scrollwork. I can have my all parchment seat re-worked with paid for $900 or a new seat with plaid and not scrollwork for $700
