Well I never. I have always assumed however many names appeared down there that that's all there was. I would have never clicked on the cake. Learnt something today.
I just assumed all those many names came from some other media like face box or twit book or whatever.

In the users Cp/ edit details section a person has a few choices of how it's displayed.

I don't know if any other factors come into play.
