1947 GMC grain truck turned hot rod build
finally decided to get after building my 1947 gmc
![]() - posting in here because it seems to be a carry over 1946 body from a grain truck so it doesn't look like the 1947 chevys

Re: 1947 GMC grain truck turned hot rod build
cab hoist attachment is clutch for pulling the cab working alone

Re: 1947 GMC grain truck turned hot rod build
how she is currently sitting.
cab is sitting on tacked on body mounts. front end is propped in place, but i like the placement of the body, so now to pull the body back off, and weld in the cab mounts and make some core support mounts ![]()

Re: 1947 GMC grain truck turned hot rod build
That is coming along pretty nice. When I lived in Texas my best friend had a 41 1/2 ton that he put a 396 4 speed and rear end out of his 69 Chevelle that had been trough some rough times body wise in and made a nice driving hot rod pickup.
