SPID help
Putting info together to have a spid made for my GMC. I cannot find any designation regarding a 157'' wheelbase. Any help?

Re: SPID help
What year gmc?
On the spid, I think you would see reference to 157" in two spots: 1) the "w/base" entry at top of spid 2) the model number. Specifically, I think you would see "64" in the sequence which correlates to 157" wheelbase. See the attached pic for an example (69 gmc found here). Also, here is a reference point for model numbers... While it doesn't call out 157" wheelbase I think you have enough info to put the pieces together. |

Re: SPID help
Thanks, that helps. I see by that vin that truck has the V6. Mine used to be a Class B motor home with quite a few options involved. The coach part of it was all rotted with water damage and cut off the frame

Just out of curiosity which dash bezel did your class B have in it? I put one out of a class B into my Burban. The camper only had 8710 miles on it when it was caught in a flood. It then sat in a barn for 45 years slowly rotting away. I got an almost perfect set of guages from it. They however are a bit odd in that they are a brownish gray color with no chrome that I've never seen before. I've wondered if it was a cab chassis thing. Is yours similar?

Re: SPID help
It had the normal bezel for a GMC. I put in the tach dash. One thing that was odd was the t400 did not have a parking pawl or linkage. Nor did the steering column. I had a R N D L L2. That has since been changed also. The truck being a class B had lots of additional stuff though like camper package with heavy suspension, dual battery, HD alternator etc

Re: SPID help
Here is the spid off of my 71 Chevy C30 ex motor home, also a 157 in. wheel base. No idea if this is any help for you.

![]() I wonder if GM didn't think the parking pawl was up to the possible load that could be imposed on it with a fully loaded camper and deleted it to dodge any possible liability issue if one were to fail.
