Has anyone ever converted a CNG truck over to gasoline? I’m looking at a nice 2500HD that is a factory natural gas truck. But would like to convert it over to gasoline.

I had a 2001 Silverado 1500 that was gas and propane. I removed the propane equipment relatively easy. There were quite a bit of power wires for the propane system tapped into the fuse box. With the help of a wiring diagram, I was able to remove or cut the wires that were part of the propane system. Ran like a champ.

Most of these Silverados with alternative fuels were dual setups, gas and whatever else.if this 2500 you’re looking at is a dual setup, then technically you can just fill up with gasoline and drive it normally. You can leave everything hooked up and just not fill the CNG tank.

I removed the propane stuff just because I wanted to clean up the truck. I could have left it if I wanted to.

Thanks for the info. This truck is 100% CNG. It was never a gasoline truck. No fuel tank, no fuel lines. The build sheet shows it was built for CNG. I can buy it right, because the CNG is a tough sale around here.

There are several CNG fueling stations in both Kansas City Kansas and Kansas City Missouri.

KCATA didn't have natural gas coaches the last time I worked there but likely the city departments have natural gas cars and trucks since they tend to burn cleaner.

I did a quick web search and came up with this outfit fairly close to Independence.

Well dang, thanks! I searched and only found 3 in the greater KC area.

I still want to swap it to gasoline if I can though
