Reports are saying that they've been dead for a few days. Possible gas poisoning. One of their dogs was dead in the house also. Dogs outside were OK

One of my favorite actors for sure. Looks like a gas deal but I don't know their source of heat. The news reports pills scattered about and a door that was broken open along with the dead dog. Something isn't right about all this.
I'm watching a Hackman film tonight miss him already!
