Re: Previous owner '68
Threw a door on to check clearance with the rocker mocked up... No good, had to cut and hack the floor panel rocker relief to get it all to fit. Seems like I remember this being a problem for me before.

Re: Previous owner '68
Decided to mount the passengers cab corner. I've never liked doing them, but it didn't go too bad.
Door needs some adjustment but it's coming off soon.

I like it. I probably should have done that to my floor. It is covered in rust pitting.

Re: Previous owner '68
Looking good! The cab corner on mine was the hardest patch panel I did. They look so simple, but it gave me the most trouble.
What's left on the cab to replace?

I did reuse the a-pillar after I cleaned it up. The repos are really not good on these. The contours are all wrong. Quote:
So I still have the drivers cab corner, both rockers, and above the windshield ( a first for me). Then it will be patching unwanted holes in the firewall. I've looked thru my pile of doors, yikes! I keep some crappy stuff! I have a buddy who says he has a decent set, otherwise I'll be patching doors.

Nice work on the rust repair I can’t figure out what that 1/2 moon gizmo is on the door is it for setting gaps? Just curious

Re: Previous owner '68
Actually it's a super strong magnet (it was round but I broke it in half) and I'm using it to keep the door shut and gaps even (I removed the striker for now, easier than having to use door handle everytime I open the door).

Re: Previous owner '68
Jim, been reading about your build, just finishing mine up, decided to install a set of original buckets, that should do it. Just wanted to let you know what I did with my suburban tank and how I did the wood in the bed so the bolts didn't show, also removed the chains from the tailgate. Don't know if your interested or not, but like your truck and love the green especially with a white top. Let me know if you would like a few pictures, here's one with the chains gone. Donn

I am putting in a blazer tank and also have a plan for getting rid of the chains, cleans the back end up nicely.
