Cell phone holders ideas

I am looking for ideas for a cell phone holder not the typical ones that are shared on here that mounts to the ashtray. I have cut my dash out to install a larger radio but looking for a place to mount my cell phone that does not take up the space where the radio or the heat and air controls are. Also my truck is a straight shift 4-speed truck

Re: Cell phone holders ideas

This isn't an answer to your question but just what I do as don't want anything stuck to the dash.I had my original AM radio redone in the C10 so now has Blue Tooth AM/FM etc. There is a small microphone tucked into the far left corner of dash so if get a call can answer hands free. The phone, well I put that in the console and set my Music to my "Driving Song Playlist " and if call comes in while music playing the call overides the music. With the phone in the console I don't get distracted if a text pops up while I'm driving.

Re: Cell phone holders ideas

I reused the hole in the dash from the Choke control knob to mount a charging phone holder.

Your old truck does not want a phone in it only a shotgun in the back window

This might be a good option - and since the dash is metal, you wouldn't need to stick the metal plate to it, the piece the phone attaches to is magnetic on both ends. So, when you don't want to see it anymore, you can just pull it off.

I agree with Jocko, you have a full metal dash and cab. With a magnet and magnetic holder, you could put it anywhere. No need to cut the dash unless you really want to.

Put the phone in your pocket and look at it when you arrive.
