I have rented this temple out several time now.
The temple is currently at a shop where we are working together to make a stick on Decal.
I need to call them and see if there is any progress.

Have to give a big shoutout to Dwayne for letting me use the template. Just did the the lining up and drilling today. It was super easy to use and his directions were spot on. Thanks Dwayne !

That is One nice truck you are working on.

I am glad things went well.

I will add that the (Stick on) decal I spent so much time on.

The lady that was working with me on this decal sold her business.

So It is great to know the temple works.

Fortunately I had the original hood which I replaced so I was able to just use blue painters tape starting exactly on the front edge of the old hood to cover the holes in three long strips, marked the center front edge for alignment, used an AWL to make the holes through the tape and removed the tape in one careful pull and reinstalled tape on the new hood and I had my template. Worked great.

Looks great. This is my 67 that i want to add the letters to the hood. Its sort of a restomod. Full CPP coil over suspension kit, 5.3LS w/4l60E trans. Just changed it to column shift, now need new carpet.

i bought a new hood for my 68 due to the amount of rust in the old hood. I am going to make a template from the old truck hood so i can transfer the holes for the letters to the new hood. Once the template is made, transferring the holes for the letters should be straight forward.

I just got the emblems in the mail today from Classic Parts. They seem good quality. I hope plan to have it done this week/weekend.

OK so I am revisiting this thread to see if anyone has used any alternatives to the hood letter barrel push nuts. I have a couple that have come loose and fallen off (probably due to road vibration). Would appreciate it if anyone has any tips on how to better secure the letters to the hood. Thanks in advance!

Plastic ? Where did you get them? Mine I got from Classic parts of America they are solid pot metal .

Classic industries, part said "OER" authorized and I incorrectly assumed that the quality would have been good.
