Spring rate confirmation?

Hi guys, I’m hoping someone can confirm the spring rate (front/rear) for my truck

1969 c10, shortbed, i6 250, Three on the tree

Also, does anyone know the spring rates of the CPP lowering springs? Thank you

Re: Spring rate confirmation?

Not sure what the actual spring rate is for them, but the 4 in lowering rear springs are ridiculously soft. Some have mentioned that they are actually Chevelle springs and not truck rated at all. I would tend to side with that theory.

You must be referencing a particular brand, I assume CPP?

Never heard that CPP was soft but have heard that about mchaughtys

I'm assuming you were talking about CPP springs, because that's what you referenced in your original post. My CPP springs that are on my truck are soft. Don't know about anyone else's brand.

Re: Spring rate confirmation?

I find it odd that they don’t advertise spring rate.

We can call them soft but I’ve put my body weight on a CPP 1” spring and did the same with a i6 spring in the past and I can say that the oem spring is softer, but I have no idea by how much.

I played with Foxbody Mustangs when I was younger and there every aftermarket spring company advertises rate which makes it easier to compare before you buy.
