Re: 1972 GMC Jimmy PENNY

You are doing a great job my friend. I know that some jobs require a lot of thought and effort but heroes like you can overcome all difficulties. I just finished my entire project and I can assure you that it is the hardest truck build of my life and the parts are also becoming difficult to find Especially since I am shipping it back to my country, the shipping will be very expensive and I did a lot of extra work to save the value of everything But we all agree that we must get these trucks back on the road When I drive it I forget all the fatigue and thinking and enjoy every moment. I hope you feel that way soon.

It's been a while since I checked in on this build. I always love seeing your updates. This GMC was nice before but now it's next level! Awesome work as always.

I appreciate the kind words. I enjoy the process so it’s all rewarding to me. But getting the truck on the road and cruising with my family is what really motivates me

Thanks man! Going for the right balance of dusty on outside and clean on the inside. Getting closer every week.

Made some decent progress this week. I got all of the powder coating done (less the spare tire carrier). So I am ready to re-assemble my seats now. I wish I could redo the covers right now but that will be for a later project. I powder coated my new speaker grille and brackets for the below dash speaker and was about to mount that piece and get it wired in. Also dropped the transfer case and pressure washed about 10lbs of grease off of it.

Next time I plan to paint and re-gasket the np205 and get it ready for re-installation. I also think I will replace the U joints on both drive shafts and clean all of that up while I’m there. Lastly I got my order of parts from the truck shop to finish my steering column restoration so I should be able to wrap that up soon and get the interior about 99%
