Sounds like a job for a Spark plug tap, Ultra-sonic cleaner and a Magic Wand.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I, and my mentor bodyman/painter, have been working on all the sheetmetal for my '67 Camaro. Last week he put the fenders, which are NOS, both fender extensions, both doors, header panel and lower valance in final primer/sealer. They are ready for final seal shoot, whenever that day comes.
Still working on the trunk lid and hood. Most of the body is close too, but that is here at my place on a rotisserie.

Rear shoes on the wife’s Tacoma . I replaced the bell crank for the parking brake on both sides as the passenger side was seized and I believe my wife was driving for a while with it engaged . I believe these are the originals shoes ,truck has 247k miles the passenger side was bare steel . Drivers side had plenty of meat but I changed them too . Everything new including the drums .

You've got to watch those preachers! Mine wanted to know if I wanted to get his Suzuki GS850 going for him that has been sitting a while in "dry" storage. He sent me this pic. And it is stored 8 hours away.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

No pics yet, but I'm building a side table for my carving area. It's almost 8 feet long, which makes machining the parts a challenge, as there is little space. I have to open the garage door and let the long pieces extend out to do the end cuts. They have to fit between the legs of a shelf I built at the end of the table saw, and not be so wide that I can't actually use the table saw. The top is 7'-6-1/2" X 13", and I had to use a circular saw to cut off a knot at on end, and to square both ends.

Took two tv's, a monitor, two vcr's to e-waste today. You don't unload your own stuff. I've got to say the dude put my tailgate down slowly, but what was better was he did not slam it closed. He held the handle up while closing. I'm thinking he might own one of our old trucks!

Pulled a Juniper out of the ground with the K35 so a fire truck can get in the driveway. Powr Lok front and Gov Lock rear.

That looks about right to me. My wife told me for months her car brakes were squealing. I couldn't hear anything so I "monitored" them. When I finally could hear them they weren't much better than those. "believe we got our money's worth out of them".

These made absolutely no noise seems the shoes will not go out far enough to contact the shoe . There was no marks on the shoe or the drum . Only symptom was the peddle went a lot further down to the floor board than normal . I could have used the old drums but I already had bought them .

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Cut down another nasty HarTHORN tree. I hate these things.
It will take me a few days to cut up and load the tangled mess limbs in the back of my truck and haul away and then try and pick up every single tiny twig with thorns, so my john deer wont get flat tires from those damb thorns

Im sure I will bleed from the thorns

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

My big aluminum landscape rake brace broke off . New ones are stupid price so I went to the local metal supply $5 of drop aluminum bar and 5/16 rod made the bracket and aluminum rivets from the rod . Worked out well

Hey, we might be living in modern times but there is no reason to throw away a good old tool when it can be saved. Especially for cheap.

Got the Mustang vert out today for first time this year. It was 60 degrees so the heated seats felt pretty good.

Was going to order a box of aluminum rivets or nuts and bolts but I could only get them in a box of 50 which would have been a waste of money . This rake is probably 40 years old so it should outlast me .

I went to the Pate Swap Meet at Texas Motor Speedway and helped my friends spend some of their money. Spent the day hanging out with a group of friends.

I hate groundie work just as much as I hate pine. I come in and I felt like Clark everything sticks to me . Had to use WD 40 on my hands and the saw to get the sap off . Felled the tree yesterday

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

That pine sap is some kind of sticky alright. We picked up some free pieces of firewood on a camping trip and put it in the rear of our suburban. Got that pine juice on the interior. Took forever to get it all off. Don't remember what I used though, it's been a minute.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I have lacquer thinner around all the time for paining and it takes that sticky stuff right off. I believe mineral spirits works too, just not as fast ...

Took the Camaro body off the rotisserie and set it on the floor for roof work. Dug out the completed sub frame and rear axle for eventual reattachment to said body.
