Lower radiator hose
I have searched and found some answers, but not to what I am looking for specifically so I am hoping someone else has found the right part #.
67 with aftermarket radiator. 350 with passengers side water pump inlet. Lower hose inlet is 2" OD to the radiator. I have bought the ACDelco Gold 24053L which is the right bend steps and the right size at the WP but the lower radiator opening is just too small. If we struggle to get it on, it is too tight to get it rotated in the right spot and then a kink / restriction occurs. Then you have to cut it off and try again - if you can get the next one on. Is there a hose that will make the right bends with the right size opening or am I just stuck with the 24053L? I am sure someone has gone with a big lower opening radiator and found a good solution. I even went as far as taking my current hose to the parts store and line up all they had in stock. Any advice / pointers in the right direction is appreciated. |

Re: Lower radiator hose
Thought I could help you out as I have the same setup. Turns out I only have the upper radiator hose part number. I know I did find the information needed for the lower hose on this site and I did have to trim it a bit to get it to work. It took some digging put it is on here.

Re: Lower radiator hose
Lower radiator hose 2wd /350 sbc / GM 3918487. Might have to build up the radiator discharge port. I've used this product for water repairs, leak lock / Leak LockŪ Pipe Joint Sealant | Highside Chemicals, Inc.

Re: Lower radiator hose
My '67 has the V8 in the I6/4x4 SBC rearward position and has a Champion 3-row radiator. I went through the same trouble trying to find a lower hose and went behind the counter at the parts store to find one. Ouch - I can't find a hose number in my records or on the hose itself. One thought is trying an ACDelco 24035L for a '67 K10 w/327 and cut to fit, assuming the bends and hose diameter are OK. I just popped the hood and it looks close to the pic.
