Where to have Rochester Monojet Rebuilt?
Hi guys, I’m going to try to get my ‘69 250 running again and would like to have the carb professionally rebuilt.
I’m wondering if you guys can recommend any sources for this? I contacted Mike’s Carburetors in Washington but he doesn’t do rebuilds anymore. And for those that recommend doing it yourself, I will in the future but have enough on my plate at the momen and would like to leave this one to the pros. Thank you!

The best shop in the US is located in NJ. They will rebuild and restore your carb to factory-new condition. Cost is on their website: http://carburetorusa.com/
Here are before and after shots of my Q-Jet.

Sorry that the photos are sideways, I don't know why they post that way.

I had them rebuild DualJet on my 307 a while back and it has performed great. I did use a fuel regulator though. Their customer service is really good.

What I do is crop the photo using Google Photos, or simply take it in the landscape mode to begin with. (That's with the phone held sideways.) Here's an example. Photo on left was not taken that way, of course, but gets rotated 90 degrees left when I attach it here. On the right is the same photo, but I cropped it. Go figure.

Try orienting your phone the other way and you might have better luck on a Mac, you can rotate them after the fact with "sips -r 90 IMG_7849.jpeg”

Re: Where to have Rochester Monojet Rebuilt?bs
If you have a work space ( wouldn’t recommend the Dining Room Table
), why don’t you get a rebuildable kit ad do it yourself? It may sound like a difficult, but it really isn’t. Just have a well lit, clean workspace, keep all the screws and parts organized, and don’t let ANYONE else touch anything. I’ve rebuilt numerous Carbs, of all makes, and have never had an issue with them. BTW, I’m no Rocket Scientist, so I’m Ellington ya, you can do it.

Re: Where to have Rochester Monojet Rebuilt?
Lars Grimrud in CO was still doing them recently, but I can’t find a working contact for him. Maybe the forum can help, or maybe he’s fallen off radar for a reason
Rebuilding yourself doesn’t take much time if everything goes right. Otherwise, it’s a variable speed timesuck and trigger for existential crisis…..or so I have heard

Re: Where to have Rochester Monojet Rebuilt?
If you are on a Windows PC, you can open the images in Paint (or several other programs) and they will show up how they will look on the forum. If they're flipped wrong, you can use the Rotate function to correct their orientation. Use File > Save to save the change and your done. Not even necessary to change the file name. It's not as simple as posting a sideways/upside down image from a mobile device but much more pleasing to look at. Unfortunately it’s been a known issue with vBulletin based forums for forever and they’re not interested in fixing it so it’s up to the forum users to fix their own pics.
