X2. You dont see cancer like that on a vehicle built in this century in ID.

Speaking of rust I went to change the batteries for the third time in 15 years and found YIKES! underneath. I dont have time to deal with it correctly right now. Cleaned it up and applied rust convertor. New stainless is only $1250.00

Had my ALLIS G rims and disks sandblasted. Too windy to paint this weekend.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I never did post any pics of the actual build of the '66 Chevelle back seat rebuild and I didn't take very many either, but here it is. I have pics of it installed in the car, but only on my phone and getting them for there to here is way over my pay grade. I'll get some with the camera next time I work on it. Waiting for cotton batting to build the front seats right now.

Did the pinion seal on the Tahoe. Went just fine. I did notice something weird. What the heck does the chicken on the seal package mean? Wouldn't a seal have made more sense?

The chicken is for different shipping route for the carriers for the gm parts warehouses. Woodstock Ontario Canada was the USS enterprise from star trek in the 1990's, and after that a turkey. Not sure what it is now.

My wife bought a used green house and we put up yesterday at the new house. Didn't get it finished but close.

Found these on a shelf behind some oil at my mom’s place . Dad must have gotten a good deal on them . These were discontinued a long time ago and I don’t know what I’ll do with them . I’m a little apprehensive about using 20 year old filters .

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Now that summer is almost here I thought it would be a great time to split some firewood for the woodstove by hand.

I must be nuts.

Good thing I bought a wedge or some of that wood would still be sitting in that pile.
Sure makes watching HDTV in a nice air-conditioned room that much more pleasurable afterwards.

Seems kind of a waste, but I'd be concerned with running them, as well. Better safe than sorry, for maybe $100. It was probably $10 worth, back in the day...

Unfortunately, the cartons show a lot of humidity damage and the paper element inside may have deteriorated. Stored in a climate controlled environment, they would be selling for over $100 each...
As is, they may still be desirable for show only on survivor or assembly line restored vehicles that don't get run.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

The first pic I posted of the rear seat for my Chevelle shows my '67 Camaro behind it on the floor. I had recently removed it from a rotisserie and left it on the floor for some final filler work on the roof I have since mounted it on the rear axle and front subframe assemblies.

They were in the pole barn so I’m sure they got some condensation damage . I’ll probably just put the on a shelf in my shop for display.

I think this is the largest one in diameter but I still have over a dozen to split that come close.
I let a couple of them roll down the hill under their own power but they went right past the cabin and into the abyss of death.
Yes I did retrieve them but now I use a dolly becauseI ain't that nuts.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

We shall see if she breaks this one . My friend had asked me if I was interested in it last year . I called she still had and gave me a hell of a deal on it. Used a booster pack and it started right up . Nice that she lived within 10 minutes of us . Be fun teaching the wife how to use it .

Need to get a battery and change the oil before use

This is Craftsman tractor that I picked up a few years ago not the bad boy zero turn I will end up fixing the Craftsman tractor and selling it .

Green Metal fence post laying on the ground . Blended in with the grass . But I replaced the ones on the old one regularly so it’s not all that unusual for me . Lots of rocks that come up every year with the frost heaves every year

Weve got an older 42" John Deere rider for a backup and I let it sit thru last year without cranking it. Now I am working to get it started. Always something around here.
