Rear QA1 sway bar on 72 Burb

Hi Guys, been a long time.
I had to make a few parts but overall it wasn't a big deal. The shock crossmember is positioned perfectly. The stock lower shock plates put the bar about an 1/8" from the shock so that needed help.

Thanks, it surprising how long it's been. This shot gives you an idea of the current shock to bar clearance. With the stock bracket it was about 1/8" and I figured the bar must move more than that in use. My photo skills could be better.

It was pointed out to me that I wasn't really clear on a couple of things as usual. The kit as you buy it from QA1 DOES NOT fit the stock suspension. It is made to be used with their truck arms and coil over shocks.
To use their bar on the stock setup you have to make the parts in the third picture. I don't know if you can buy just the bar from them, I didn't try. If it ever stops raining i'll post if you can notice the bar working.

It's funny because everybody, including me says the same thing, "it doesn't feel bad to me now". The frame mounted fitech fuel pump crapped out last year and it came home on a flatbed. Backing in to my driveway is off camber and down hill from the road. I couldn't believe how jacked up and twisted the rear of the burb was when he backed the wrecker in. That night I had my Wife and Daughter help me push to build up speed. I have to take a hard off camber right to get to the garage in the back yard. I coasted it up on to the lift and they came running down before I even got out. They both thought the thing was going to tip over taking the corner, felt fine to me. That pretty much sealed it and QA1 was nice enough to send a drawing over of the bar itself. It looked like it would be a decent fit with some shock interference. It was so I made new plates that moved the shock out on it's original arc. One note is to make sure you can get the upper link bolt in before drilling the mount hole. You run out of room pretty quick and the left side is different than the right a little bit.
Sorry for the long story but I wanted to say what drove this. The improvement is night and day, it really is and hard to get across when you don't think it's bad now. This is with stock wheels and 235/75 tires and "lug nut" hub caps.
To reiterate, the kit as it comes from QA1 does not fit the stock suspension. YOU have to make pieces like I show in the picture and then it's fine.

Thanks for the update. I have never used a rear sway bar so it's good to know it helps.
