darren, Great job with the pics. Did you score any good parts? How were the prices and selection? I kind of like that teal with the checkered flag graphics....what was it like in person?

Did you see the 70 chevy swb, black primer w/an LT1 and six speed? The did a beautiful job and only wanted 6500 for it and that was negotiable! I told him about the board. Hope he posts the truck. I thought the rest of the trucks were over priced but the prices have been going up lately. Great pics!

I thought the asking price on the first rig was only $18k? It had too much add on B.S. in the cab for my taste. Anybody figure out what that black box mounted next to the brake booster was for?

The second truck (copper/white) was a cherry! I believe that one was $17k. In my opinion, that was the nicest rig down there.

The 'Burban was awesome. 'Nuff said.

Probably the deal of the meet was a '71/'72 Longhorn with a 402, A/C, tach, tilt, in good original condition for $6500, if memory serves correctly.

Didn't really find much in the way of parts this time around, but I did manage to score a pair of extremely clean, rust-free doors for my truck. Plus, there were some smokin' deals on Optima batteries. Got a yellow top deep cycle for $100. Red top starters were only $75. All in all, I'm glad I went and saw how out of control the prices have gotten on '67-'72 trucks. Makes me glad I decided to keep my '72 and get rid of my '52 when I was contemplating a new rig back in October!

Thanks fot the compliments guys!
Stllookn, I got a new dash bezel, arm rests, and a fer small things. The prices and selection were avg I belive. Truck parts did ave good lower "meet" prices. The paint on the checkered truck was very well done. It looked great in person. The interior was ok.
70 Jimmy,
I saw the 70 swb w/ the tan interior, but didn't look under the hood. Now I'm kicking myself! Thanks for pointing that out 70!!
72 Cheyenne Super,
You are correct, that Yellow/White 502 was 18K. And I thought the interior was too buisey as well. I heard it run though! And it was AWESOME!!! The 2 tone with the 396 BB in it was real sweet! All factory (But the motor).
I think the show was good overall. A lot to see though, and I would have liked to see more sheet metal for our trucks. Darren
