I also have the same mirror in my '72 Cheyenne built at the Atlanta plant in February 1972 (all the same marks as noted). I'm 99.999% sure it's original, and my windshield is original as well. 😬 I'm also curious about those polished/stainless/chrome '72 mirrors. I've seen a few and on trucks built by very anal retentive owners. Maybe(?) they had the shiny ones on the Cheyenne Super even though Chevy had no mention of such on that trim package...or it depended on the plant, or who was working that day. thoughts?
