Need help identifying these

I am doing a frame off resto of my 72 C20. I had the frame sand blasted and then I painted it. Once I lifted the cab to put it back on the frame I found these under the cab and have no idea where they go or if they even go to it.

Any ideas guys?

thanks

That would be my first guess too.
Or some kind of step hardware.
Didn’t see them on my build, curious though.

Re: Need help identifying these

I will look at the possibility of them being exhaust hangers. Truck never had any steps on so that is out. I replaced the bench seat years ago for buckets out of a 2000ish Silverado so I don't think it is that. I have looked though the service manual and all over LMC's website and cant figure it out. Maybe they do not even go to my truck, it has taken 5 years from tear down to get to this point

^ ^ ^ dwjet2, we missed this one when you originally posted but here are a few of our old saved folder pics to go with kwmech's above post, your brackets in question are the OE front frame to x-member doubler braces that were used/found on the 2wd 72 C/20-30 trucks. The first pic shows where and how they were mounted to the inner sides of the forward frame rails, there is one LH/RH specific inner brace and one lower flat plate per reinforcement setup, we do have a few of these 4 pc. OE frame brace setups pulled/ready to ship if anyone needs a set. Mel

Re: Need help identifying these

These were on a '76 C30 with big block. I was originally going to use the '76 crossmember on my '67, but ended up putting the '67 back in because the forged ears on the crossmember looked stronger. I thought why not use these as well and only had to redrill the top hole.

Re: Need help identifying these

Are these really necessary? I see Mel posted the application being C/K20 & 30. What about the C/K10?
