oil leak at bell housing 350 V8

Anyone have a problem with oil leaking at bottom left long bolt near filter mount area between block and bell housing? I think bolt hole goes all the way into the filter base. Never had that problem before. It's a 3970010 block

Don't know if it goes thru or not, I'd pull that particular bolt, hit the tapped hole and bolt with Brake Kleen then dope the bolt up with silicon, then re-install.

Nope look higher up the block. I recently installed an engine where the oil access oil hole under the rear of the left cylinder head (1/4'' pipe threads) was leaking. Had to pull the head and seal the plug. Machine shop missed sealing it

my engine does a very random dump of oil at the back of the block, right side. Its so random that I've only had to add one quart of oil over one full year. But when it dumps it's not a drip, but covers an area of 4-6 inches. ('72 Chevy 350/350 with '82 Targetmaster)
