Re: '73 Firebird - Knocking off the ugly

Good looking car. My mom had a 79 trans am T-top silver anniversary model while I was growing up. 403 rebuilt, bored .030 over, aluminum intake, hooker headers etc. It ran good and sounded good. We drove that car all over including from MD to FL and back to see my great grandmother.

I have always had a build rattling around in the back of my head for one of these cars, start with a later car for the bigger back window then convert the tail to early style along with front clip. Painted gloss black with a flat black silhouette of an SR-71 on the hood and use the engine sections of plane as intakes. BLACKBIRD across the spoiler. But it will probably never happen with all the other projects I need to do or unload.
